About Maryland Biodetection

Maryland Biodetection is an environmental and indoor air quality consulting group serving all of Maryland, Washington D.C. And Northern Virginia. Maryland Biodetection's goal is to provide non-biased, accurate indoor air quality, indoor environmental quality and microbial consulting.

Maryland Biodetection is not a remediation contracting firm. Because of this, Maryland Biodetection is positioned to provide a non-partial assessment of the indoor air quality or environmental quality concern of private homes, commercial buildings and institutional complexes. After a review of laboratory results from samples taken while onsite, without bias, Maryland Biodetection will recommend the proper remediation methods to correct the issue if deemed necessary.

Maryland Biodetection's clients include individual homeowners, commercial property owners, insurance agencies, remediation contractors, home inspection firms, relocation firms, property management groups and realtors that want to determine if there are legitimate indoor air quality and environmental quality concerns in their properties, investments and businesses and work towards resolving them properly.

About Keith Oltman

Keith Oltman obtained his bachelor of science in Microbiology from Towson University. Mr. Oltman's independent senior study focus while at T.U. was on Mycology, the study of fungi. Mr. Oltman also has completed training from Indoor Air Sciences, Inc. to be listed with the IAQA as Certified Microbial Investigator. Mr. Oltman has worked in the microbiology and biotechnology field since graduating from T.U. in clinical, pre-clinical and commercial drug development and manufacturing, supply chain management, sales and marketing and, of course, Microbial detection.

His educational background in Microbiology, combined with training and experience in biotechnology has enabled him to perform proper sampling techniques to determine if air quality issues, mold, fungus and microbial growth are present at a property in an abnormal state. He is experienced in microbial and fungal identification of the those samples. In addition, he is proficient in providing professionally written reports.

Mr. Oltman's goal is to provide accurate consultation to the client to help determine if there are significant indoor air and environmental issues in a property,identify the sources of the indoor air quality and environmental quality issues detected and work towards resolving them.
